FRANK MURTAGH BIOGRAPHY AND ACHIEVEMENTS
* Murtagh Marketing & Media - (1999 - Present)
Providing broadcasters and
non-broadcast companies with unique listener and sales marketing,
promotions, PR, events assistance and direction. Murtagh's clients include
96.9 FM Talk and Greater Media's Boston Radio Group. In Partnership with
Sabo Media, Frank has also been involved with numerous projects including
Parade Radio and St. Martin's Press.
* WRKO/WHDH/WEEI - Boston (1993-1999)
Responsible for marketing,
promotions, public relations, community involvement, sales promotion and
events. Initially owned by American Radio, also assisted corporate with
numerous marketing and public relations functions. (American
Radio/CBS/Entercom)
* WBZ Radio & TV - Boston (1987-1993)
Started in programming as Executive
Producer. Moved into Promotions and Marketing. Involved in WBZ's
transition to news/talk and led efforts to cross-utilize WBZ Radio and TV
for maximum ratings and revenue. While at WBZ our team was awarded a
Westinghouse Marketing Award as well as the NAB Crystal Award.

* WHTT-FM - Boston (1984 - 1987)
Following a few suburban, small- market
radio gigs, became WHTT-FM Promotion Director and morning show sidekick.

* International - Consulted Talk Radio - UK, U2E - Australia and Tokyo
Broadcasting.
* Events Consulting - World Trade Center - Boston 1992-1993 - Including
Dinosaur exhibit launch in Taipei, Taiwan
* Industry/Education:
* Annual guest lecturer Harvard School of Public Health (1989 - 2000)
* Guest lecturer Boston University School of Communications (1991-1994)
* Worked with Bill Aydellot ( of Cheers, St Elsewhere, Ally McBeal, The
Practice fame) to produce customized television spots for radio that were
subsequently syndicated nationally. (WBZ, WRKO)
* Radio set consultant, prop assistance - Disney's A Civil Action starring
John Travolta
* Radio advisor, set and prop consultant - ABC Movie Original Sin with Mark
Harmon and Julianne Phillips
